Job summary

Centene Corporation in the United States seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise solutions. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to provide design, analysis, development, testing, implementation, and support expertise across the enterprise.

The role focuses on SQL Server (T-SQL) development, including stored procedures, functions, views, and ETL with SSIS, plus ownership of an in‑house letter

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field; 4–6 years of related experience or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization).
• 3+ years of C# development and 3+ years of SSIS development.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions across the business.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects that stage and transform data for correspondence.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application (C#) generating Word documents and PDF conversions.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch; perform data analysis, testing, and production support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including designs and data flows.
• Communicate issues to stakeholders and design/model solutions; contribute to data mart/EDW feeds and report development.
