Job summary

Centene Corporation in Idaho seeks a software data engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise data solutions. You will implement T-SQL, write C# components, and build SSIS packages to ETL and transform data for reports and letters.

You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, and SMEs, troubleshoot performance, and maintain documentation while supporting EDW feeds and EDI processes.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 - 6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, performance tuning, etc.).
• Requires 3+ years of C# development.
• Requires 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI is preferred.
• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects for staging and transforming data.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application using C# to produce Word documents and convert to PDF.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Perform data analysis, testing, and production support; research and resolve data, performance, and letter-generation issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including data flows and support procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design/model solutions and support EDW feeds and reports.
• Contributes to data mart development, EDI X12 processes, and report development.
