Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to own supplier quality for aerospace hardware in volume production. You will lead qualification, audits, and failure analysis across the supply chain, ensuring robust processes and traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical initiatives and key deliverables.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• 5+ years of experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design.
• 5+ years of experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Background in aerospace, satellite hardware, or telecom infrastructure.
• Knowledge of plating process, die/package assembly, bonding and contamination control processes both at the device and PCBA Level.

Responsibilities

• The SQE leads supplier qualification, audits, process controls, failure analysis and CI to ensure robust, repeatable, and compliant manufacturing at all ties of the supply chain.
• Define and scale Leo’s quality system to detect process excursions improving product reliability and wafer yields in volume manufacturing.
• Lead root-cause analysis for supplier and internal defects including test failures and screening/qualification.
• Influence suppliers and drive performance improvements.
• Own systems, tools, and processes used to manage device traceability and quality metrics.
• Represent Leo Supplier Quality in cross-functional initiatives.
• Travel as needed to accomplish program objectives.
• AS9100D Lead Auditor Trained/Certified.
• Deploy JEDEC/IPC/APQP/PPAP methodologies per AS9145 or equivalent standards.
• Collaborate with product development as owner of component quality system requirements.
• Improve reliability, reduce defects, and drive failure analysis for internal customers.
• Be the face of Quality for component suppliers and resolve issues.
• Facilitate component quality as SME in qualification, traceability and SPC.
• Lead resolution of quality events using structured failure analysis tools.
