Job summary

Mars is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager in Chicago to address packaging non-conformances of inbound materials and lead continuous improvement projects that reinforce material quality, food safety, and sourcing reliability.

You will be the primary interface between the supply chain and suppliers on quality matters, drive Lean problem solving across the manufacturing network, and develop strategies to raise quality across Mars sites.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience working manufacturing quality, with sound understanding of food safety and HACCP.
• Advanced training in Lean principles and problem solving.
• Strong understanding of supply chain with the physical capability of working in a manufacturing environment when necessary.
• Minimum of a bachelors degree.

Responsibilities

• You will be the primary interface between our supply chain and our suppliers regarding all quality matters.
• Driving a culture that is rooted heavily in Lean principles, and applying the associated problem solving methodology across the manufacturing network.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve quality across the sites.
