Boston Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an SQA Engineer for the Spot team to own automated testing across Orbit web platform and autonomous robots. You will design end-to-end tests spanning web UI, REST APIs, and robot control, and build robust test suites with HIL strategies.

Qualified candidates bring 3+ years in automated testing, proficiency in Playwright and Python, and experience with C++/TypeScript. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware interaction and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to robotics or software testing.
• 3+ years of automated testing experience for web apps and robotics systems.
• Proven expertise in web automation with Playwright and Python.
• Experience with C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, and HIL testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and embedded robotic systems.
• Create end-to-end test Architectures validating Orbit web UI to robot actuation and payloads.
• Implement HIL automated testing to validate performance, stability, and autonomy.
• Plan tests across browsers, APIs, and hardware variants; analyze logs and telemetry.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
