Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Java backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot connectors that interface with controls vendor systems, contributing to a scalable, resilient microservices ecosystem.

You will collaborate with architects and fellow developers to align implementations with enterprise standards, participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies, and drive quality through CI/CD, testing, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 5+ years with Spring Boot and related Spring projects.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with integration to external/vendor systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and PI planning.
• Solid CI/CD, Git workflows, and test automation experience.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot-based connectors interfacing with vendor systems.
• Ensure connectors fit into the microservices ecosystem with scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to align with enterprise standards.
• Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies (PI planning, standups, reviews).
• Write clean, testable code with focus on maintainability and architecture guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, performance, and interoperability issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation for connector services and integration points.
• Work with QA to ensure robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Stay current with Spring Boot, Java, and microservices technologies.
