Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Senior Sponsored Agreements Administrator to independently review, draft, and negotiate sponsored agreements and award actions across federal, nonprofit, and industry sponsors. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with Pre-Award, Office of General Counsel, and Finance.

You will manage a portfolio from intake through execution, maintain audit-ready records, and escalate risk with clear recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; at least five years in sponsored research administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with investigators and sponsors.
• Ability to manage complex matters, prioritize, and escalate risks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of sponsored agreements and award actions.
• Own assigned matters from intake to handoff with clear status and dependencies.
• Ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200, FAR/DFARS and sponsor requirements.
