Job summary

Doist is seeking a highly analytical Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Richmond, VA team. You will develop and implement advanced cyber defense solutions, safeguard infrastructure, and ensure deployments align with specifications.

The role focuses on Splunk SIEM, log analysis, threat hunting, and rapid response to security events. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cybersecurity, strong SPL skills, and experience with cloud platforms and security frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
• Experience building, evaluating, and responding to security incidents in SIEM environments
• Proficiency in writing Splunk queries (SPL) and creating detections
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and security compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Threat Detection & Monitoring of network, endpoint, and cloud events
• Create and tune Splunk correlation searches, alerts, and dashboards
• Investigate incidents and coordinate remediation with IT and network teams
• Develop detection and response playbooks based on threat intel
• Onboard new data sources ensuring log integrity and normalization
• Support audit readiness with SIEM control evidence and reports
