Veridic Solutions in New York, NY seeks a Director, Splunk Platform Engineering & SRE (Individual Contributor) to own a large-scale Splunk SIEM platform and drive reliability.

This is a deeply technical leadership role requiring 12+ years in information security, SRE, and data ingestion; hybrid on-site in NYC with a 12‑month contract, extension possible.

You will own architecture, scalability, incident response, automation, and governance, shaping platform evolution and tooling choices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in information security or related technology experience; securities/financial services a plus.
• Strong foundation in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues across full stack: app to OS and network.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engineering and operational accountability for the enterprise Splunk platform (SIEM).
• Act as the highest technical escalation point for critical incidents across application, platforms and infrastructure.
• Architect and scale high-throughput ingestion pipelines and integrations (syslog, cloud, enterprise systems).
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic fixes with SRE practices (SLAs, SLOs, error budgets).
• Drive platform upgrades, resilience strategies, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including AI/ML-driven analytics and contextual data platforms.
