Job summary

Leidos seeks a driven Splunk/Elastic Engineer for the DISA J-6 Cyber Security Task Order in Alexandria, VA. Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and automation to monitor and secure mission data across DoD systems.

The role requires a current Secret clearance and onsite work in the Alexandria area, with collaboration across DISA J-6 teams to ensure compliance and rapid visibility into security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required prior to start.
• DoD 8570 IAM II certification.
• Splunk Core Certified Power User or higher.
• Elastic Certified Analyst or higher.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient and reusable reports and dashboards to integrate mission data into Splunk/Elastic.
• Direct and monitor reporting to reflect compliance with cyber directives.
• Create front-end automated data visualization services using Splunk/Elastic.
• Create dashboards to provide visibility into ingested log data.
• Create alerts to notify specified destinations via email or attachments.
• Create security rules to detect anomalous activities or threats.
• Utilize security tools to assess and monitor security posture for ongoing authorization.
