Job summary

Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat language, voice, and swallowing disorders in residents. You will build trust-based relationships and tailor therapies to each resident's needs within our Colorado Springs communities.

Required are a state SLP license, CPR, and 2–3 years of experience, with strong communication, empathy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
• 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license; CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening and social perceptiveness.
• Ability to build relationships, show compassion, and respect individuality.
• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making.
• Effective time management and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats language, voice and swallowing disorders with individualized plans.
• Assess swallowing, speech and language levels; choose suitable therapies.
• Create and adjust treatment plans addressing residents' needs and goals.
• Teach sound production, voice and fluency tailored to each resident.
• Set achievable goals; monitor progress and adapt as needed.
• Provide warm, patient guidance to residents and families.
• Counsel families on swallowing and communication strategies.
• Cultivate trusting relationships with residents over time.
• Document progress and ensure compliance with facility procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an inclusive workplace culture.
