Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Murfreesboro laboratory is seeking a Lab Assistant (Specimen Technician III) to join our fast-paced team in Murfreesboro, TN. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a starting pay range of $17.75+ per hour and opportunities for annual performance bonus compensation.

This position advances duties from SPT II with complex specimen processing including microbiology, frozen splits, send-outs, and cytology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in responsibilities of the SPT II and understanding of all job duties and SOPs related to the Specimen Processing department.
• Fills in for other functions within Specimen Processing as necessary using available resources.
• Ensures compliance policies related to test ordering and specimen requirements are followed.
