The primary role of this position will be supporting the dispensing capacity of the Specialty Pharmacy. This includes dispensing mastery, inventory management, delivery packaging and direct patient care. This position will also work closely with the clinical pharmacists and liaisons to ensure medications are filled accurately and efficiently. This role will also include direct communication with oncology staff including providers, nurses and other ancillary staff.


Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. Dispense any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enterals and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. May compound medications using appropriate components, supplies and sterile/ventilated environment. Process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug, related supplies and patient collateral (education materials) are included. May also perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment, fill dispensing units.

Pharmacy Location: North Memorial Hospital (Pharmacy is inside the oncology clinic)3435 West Broadway Robbinsdale, MN 55422

Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and dispenses medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Processes prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems
  • Assists pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
  • Processes and coordinates specialty medication prescriptions, often for complex or chronic conditions
  • Manages prior authorizations and insurance requirements, working closely with payers and providers
  • Coordinates patient onboarding and refills, ensuring adherence to therapy schedules
  • Handles medication distribution logistics, including cold-chain management and direct-to-patient shipping
  • Maintains detailed documentation and reporting, meeting REMS, FDA, and manufacturer program requirements
  • Provides high-touch patient support, addressing non-clinical questions and navigating access barriers
  • Ensures compliance with specialty pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metrics

Required Qualification:
