Job summary

Brain Co. is applying frontier AI to specialty insurance policy analysis. We seek experienced specialists to annotate declarations, endorsements, and schedules, helping shape the data structures that drive our AI pipelines.

You will work with our engineers to identify where AI falls short, review outputs, and help define quality rubrics and benchmarks. This is a remote-friendly, part-time engagement with flexible scheduling for an initial 3–4 months.

Qualifications

• USA-based with at least 3 years in excess or specialty insurance.
• Experience as underwriter, coverage attorney, consultant in E&S.
• Ability to read a policy end-to-end and explain coverage responses.

Responsibilities

• Annotate policy towers and identify limits, sublimits, retentions, attachment points, and layer stacking.
• Render coverage conclusions based on insuring agreements and exclusions.
• QA and correct labeling of AI-generated outputs; grade agent performance.
• Resolve ambiguous, conflicting, and unusual situations affecting product trust.
• Build evaluation rubrics and design review workflows for extraction and coverage conclusions.
• Translate insurance terminology and market conventions for engineers; flag mismatches with reality across lines of business.
• Define ground truth by reviewing real policies and endorsements to measure AI performance.
