The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking a Sr. Specialist - Workforce Management to create and implement weekly schedules for the property based on business forecasts.

You will analyze staffing data, adjust staffing for events, ensure timely schedule delivery, and collaborate with department heads on staffing changes. Responsibilities include processing leave requests, delivering best-practice scheduling designs, editing Kronos payroll, and ensuring compliance with local laws.

Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license as required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Hotel Operations.
  • Experience at a 4- or 5-star resort preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Virtual Roster, LMS and HOTSOS.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust staffing needs during events and reservations while maintaining scheduling procedures.
  • Ensure timely creation and delivery of schedules to managers.
  • Collaborate with department heads to adjust staffing models and approve changes.
  • Process leave requests and absences with the Absence Management team.
  • Develop and deliver best-practice scheduling, rotation design and reporting.
  • Edit/correct daily payroll in Kronos and input scheduling data including attendance points.
  • Determine appropriate times to close stations/tables and call Team Members as needed.
  • Ensure scheduling practices comply with legislative requirements and local law.

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Specialist - Workforce Management is to create and implement weekly schedules for the property while making appropriate decisions and staffing level changes based on business needs and forecasts.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze staffing data provided by department and labor analytics to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Adjust staffing needs based on special events, large party reservations, table games/slot tournaments while maintaining compliance with scheduling procedures and metrics.
  • Ensure timeliness of schedule creation and delivery to the standards as set out by the Executive Director/Managers and expectations of the department.
  • Collaborate with department heads to adjust staffing models and approve schedule changes independently as necessary.
  • Process Team Member's leave requests and Leave of Absences, as per the Absence Management team.
  • Develop and deliver best practice scheduling, rotation design and reporting to maintain consistency among business.
  • Edit/correct daily payroll in Kronos and input/tracks Team Member scheduling information, including attendance points.
  • Determine appropriate times to close stations/tables and call Team Members into work or grant Team Members company requested early outs, as necessary.
  • Ensure scheduling practice is developed in line with legislative requirements and local law protecting the company and Team Member interest.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure ethical and equity issues are identified and managed in the scheduling process.
  • Develop duty sheets and other daily reporting as required by the business.
  • Staff the Workforce Management (WFM) telephones for Team Member call outs and inquiries.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements

Must be able

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
