BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Site Reliability Engineer to join the SRE team in Jersey City, NJ. You will develop automation and internal tools using Python/Java, integrate workflows with ServiceNow, and support CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.

Qualified candidates have a CS degree (or equivalent), 1–2 years of experience, familiarity with Linux, REST APIs, and cloud/container tech, plus a drive to grow in reliability engineering and DevOps practices.

• Hands-on programming with Python and/or Java.
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) or integrating applications with ServiceNow.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix and scripting.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Exposure to cloud, containers, or infrastructure automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop deeper SRE skills.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Develop and maintain automation and internal tools using Python and Java.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 1-2 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python and/or Java, with willingness to work with both.
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) or integrating applications/automation with ServiceNow.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix and scripting.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Exposure to cloud, containers, or infrastructure automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop deeper SRE, automation, and reliability engineering skills.
