Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Senior IT Specialist to lead server delivery cloud services, automating provisioning and configuration management of virtual servers and containers. You’ll ensure baseline patches across cloud platforms and drive integrations from mergers and acquisitions as well as business continuity solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware, Tanzu, Azure, and disaster recovery, plus scripting to automate deployments and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with VMware Administration and configuration (7.x, 8.x).
• Experience with containerization technology; VMware Tanzu.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft/Linux server OS implementation and configuration.
• Experience with replication services (Veeam, SRM, Storage replication, Zerto).
• Experience with SolarWinds for server monitoring and availability.
• Scripting and automation for standardized deployments and configurations.
• Infrastructure design, implementation, documentation, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• On-Prem and Off-Prem Virtual Server infrastructure administration.
• Tanzu containers infrastructure configuration and support.
• Configure and maintain Morpheus server build orchestration infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Zerto server replication and protection jobs.
• Operate and maintain server information in SolarWinds VMAN and Configuration Management.
• Enhance automation and configuration mgmt. for deployments and integrations.
• Delivery of IT service management to ensure timely incident/problem resolution.
• On-Call 24/7 rotation for emergencies or operational assistance.

Summary:

This position is for a Senior Specialist Server Delivery Cloud Services. This Individual will work with the team on the implementation of server delivery cloud services using standard tools to automate the provisioning and configuration management of Virtual Server and Application Containers Infrastructure. This position will work to ensure all operational patches and baseline levels are maintained across all cloud platforms. This individual will lead in project implementations including integrations arising from mergers and acquisitions, as well as Business Continuity solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• On-Prem and Off-Prem Virtual Server infrastructure administration.
• Tanzu containers infrastructure configuration, administration, and support.
• Configure and maintain the Morpheus server build orchestration infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Zerto server replication and protection jobs.
• Operate and maintain Server information in SolarWinds VMAN and Configuration Management as well as Asset Management and IPAM
• Enhance automation and configuration mgmt. following coding standards and tools for server builds and integration activities. Virtual Infrastructure discovery and integration for company acquisitions
• Deliveryof IT service Management to ensure the timely delivery and resolution ofincident and problems.
• On-Call 24/7 rotation for emergencies or operational assistance.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• Experience with VMware Administration / Configuration 7.x, 8.x
• Experience with Containerization technology; VMWare Tanzu
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft / Linux Server OS implementation / configuration
• Experience with Replication services: Veeam Backup and recovery, SRM / Storage replication services / Zerto
• Experience with Solar Winds for server monitoring and availability
• Experience with scripting and automation routines for standardized deployments and configurations
• Experience with Infrastructure design, implementation, documentation, and disaster recovery
• Must follow change guidelines and after hour maintenance windows.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

• The Senior IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
• The Lead IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
• The Principal IT Specialist level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITIL V3 / ITSM - Must work within the Incident / Change / Problem mgmt. framework.
• Understanding of Microsoft Hyper-V.

Working Conditions:

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
