Job summary

Senior Specialist, Inventory at dsm-firmenich in New Ulm, MN, onsite, oversees end-to-end inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and material availability for continuous production. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing (food, nutrition, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Optimize inventory levels (min/max, safety stock) aligned with production and supply planning.
  • Ensure proper stock segmentation (e.g., quality hold, blocked, unrestricted use).

  • Partner with planning and operations teams to align inventory with production schedules.

Senior Specialist, Inventory

The Senior Specialist, Inventory is responsible for end-to-end inventory management across the New Ulm TTH manufacturing site, ensuring accurate stock levels, material availability, and compliance with company standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production continuity, cost control, and operational efficiency.

The position operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Finance to ensure optimal inventory performance and alignment with site objectives.

Your key responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within ERP systems (SAP preferred)

You bring
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing (food, nutrition, or similar) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job‑related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $29.00-34.00 per hour.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
