Job description

The Senior Specialist, Global Procurement will support the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives within our Commercial Communications teams. You will help to process and evaluate the development of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs as well as participate in supplier selection & planning. The role will also support all vendor sourcing activities which may include preparing business review data, measuring supplier performance as well as providing data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions for our strategic partnerships.

This role requires 4 days / wk. onsite at our Corporate HQ in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is not available as a fully remote / hybrid role.

A typical day might include:

• Support category managers to compose category strategy(ies)
• Support team by performing supply market analyses and use sourcing tools to identify suppliers with capabilities which meet Regeneron’s business needs.
• Supports the RFx process, supports contract negotiations, and ensures contract deliverables are realized, e.g., SLA’s, Savings, etc.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with pricing agreements, internal policies, and procedures.
• Reviews and approves POs in the Oracle workflow for category spend under management and within authorized approval limits.
• Works within iCertis to collect requirements, draft, and handle workflow for Scopes of Work (SOW) covering commercial terms.
• Prepare negotiations strategies
• Supports the category team on Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives which normally includes, but is not limited to, coordinating supplier governance meetings, creating/distributing scorecards, working with partners to review performance metrics, reporting SRM meeting action items, and tracking resolutions.

This role might be for you if you have:

• Experience successfully supporting global category teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories.
• Demonstrated success supporting cross-functional teams through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• Provided insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.
• Used external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics.
• Working knowledge of procurement, planning, supplier interface and negotiations, systems applications such as Zycus, Oracle, iCertis (Contracts Management), spend analytic software, MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

To qualify for this role you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience within procurement, to include up to 3+ years experience directly in a procurement role or supporting procurement activities. We are also looking for work experience within a biopharmaceutical, research or biotech company (preferred, but not required)
