Job description

Job Description

One of the best-known names in cruising, Princess is the world’s leading international premium cruise line and tour company, carrying millions of guests each year to hundreds of destinations around the globe. We give our guests the Medallion Class experience others simply can’t. The Love Boat promises something for everyone.

The Deployment & Release Integration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, governing, and supporting software deployments and release integrations across the organization. This role manages release calendars, readiness, dependencies, risk, governance, compliance, execution visibility, and continuous improvement to help deliver controlled, secure, business-aligned releases while minimizing operational risk and service disruption. The role works closely with application development, infrastructure, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, service management, vendors, and business teams and requires strong release management, stakeholder coordination, analytical, and communication capabilities.

Here’s a summary of whatPrincessis looking for in a Deployment & Release Integration Specialist. Is this you?

Responsibilities:

Release Planning & Coordination

  • Develop and maintain enterprise release calendars, schedules, and deployment roadmaps.
  • Coordinate deployment activities across application, infrastructure, cloud, security, vendor, and business teams.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews, planning meetings, and war rooms for major production releases.
  • Manage dependencies, resource coordination, prerequisites, and execution timelines.

Deployment Governance & Risk Management

  • Maintain release management standards, policies, controls, and consistent adoption.
  • Assess deployment risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Confirm change-management approvals, rollback procedures, testing results, and readiness criteria before production deployment.
  • Escalate deployment risks and issues with clear recommendations.

Integration Management & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Serve as the central integration point across development, infrastructure, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, service management, vendors, and business teams.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams and resolve cross-functional dependencies, conflicts, and resource constraints.
  • Communicate release status, milestones, risks, issues, and operational impacts to technical, business, and leadership stakeholders.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze deployment outcomes, post-release issues, and lessons learned to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve release processes and automation.
  • Develop and maintain deployment metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Promote effective DevOps, CI/CD, release-management, and operational-readiness practices.

Compliance, Security & Audit Support

  • Ensure releases align with organizational security, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Partner with Information Security to validate controls and remediation requirements before deployment.
  • Support regulatory and internal audit activities and maintain governance, risk, and compliance evidence.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Scope: This ongoing individual-contributor role coordinates continuous release activity and enterprise-wide deployments across interconnected technology platforms, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, vendors, service management, and business teams. It is focused on release integration and execution rather than direct people management or delivery of a single project.
  • Problem solving: The role evaluates release readiness, cross-platform dependencies, deployment risks, resource constraints, test evidence, rollback plans, security requirements, and operational impacts. It anticipates challenges, develops mitigation and contingency plans, resolves cross-functional conflicts, and escalates material risks with recommendations.
  • Impact: The role supports operational stability, deployment reliability, security, compliance, and business continuity by improving release visibility, governance, readiness, and execution. Success is reflected in reliable deployments, fewer deployment-related incidents, compliance with required controls, and effective recovery from release issues.
  • Leadership: The role has no stated direct reports and leads through subject-matter expertise, coordination, influence, and accountability across cross-functional teams. It facilitates readiness reviews, planning meetings, deployment war rooms, and leadership reporting without direct authority.

For all roles:

  • Knowledge: Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.
  • Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Abilities: Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

Essential/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; or 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Essential experience required:

  • At least 5 years of experience in release management, deployment management, IT operations, project management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years coordinating enterprise-wide release and deployment activities across multiple technology teams.
  • Experience managing production deployments in complex, highly integrated environments.
  • Experience working within ITIL, Agile, DevOps, and change-management frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Change Management and ITSM processes.
  • Experience with risk assessment, issue management, operational-readiness planning, and cybersecurity requirements.
