SUMMIT ECS, Inc. is seeking Full-Time Special Inspectors/Senior Engineering Technicians for their Fort Mill, SC office. This position involves performing various testing and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes on new and ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field of study.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience can substitute for certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine field tests or inspections for compliance.
• Complete structural concrete and reinforcing code compliance.
• Inspection of soil, concrete, asphalt and/or steel.
• Communicate daily with contractors and project managers.
• Prepare accurate field testing/inspection reports.

Skills

Ability to calculate results from construction inspections

Ability to read and interpret construction documents

Ability to accurately complete field testing paperwork

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

Effective presentation skills

Education

2 year degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology

Tools

ACI Concrete Certification

ICC Special Inspections Certification

OSHA 10/30-hour Certification

NCDOT Roadway Certified
