Full-Time employees receive a comprehensive compensation package including 100% employer-paid medical insurance with buy-up options for dependents, dental and vision plans, Employee Assistance Program, ESOP, and 401(k). Benefits also include 8 paid holidays, paid sick and vacation time accrued throughout the year. The pay range for this position is $46.68-$67.16 hourly, with offers based on experience.

The Senior Special Inspector II will oversee construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract and subcontract terms, performance standards, quality requirements, and engineering specifications. Reporting to the Project Manager or Construction Manager, the Senior Inspector will monitor and document project progress, playing a critical role in successful project execution. MUST have a CWI certification.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Oversee and monitor construction projects for compliance with contracts and standards.
  2. Document and report project progress.
  3. Address issues or discrepancies during construction.
  4. Collaborate with project stakeholders for smooth execution.
  5. Read and understand plans and specifications related to inspection duties.
  6. Ensure performance and quality meet engineering specifications.
  7. Maintain knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CBC, IBC, ASTM, ACI, AWS).
  8. Write clear daily field and non-conformance reports.
  9. Exercise high levels of ethics.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of experience in construction supervision.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontracts, and specifications.
  • Proven record of ensuring project performance and quality.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Appropriate certifications: CWI, ICC, ACI, AWS, and/or Nuclear Gauge.
  • Minimum five years of construction-related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
