Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Senior Special Hazards Systems Technician to install, program, test, and commission complex fire protection and releasing systems.

The role requires deep knowledge of NFPA standards, field diagnostics, and the ability to independently lead technical activities on challenging projects. Responsibilities include advanced troubleshooting, system configuration, acceptance testing, and support for customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 2 years technology degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years installing, servicing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting fire alarm/special hazards systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, service, test, and commission special hazards systems (clean-agent, pre-action, deluge).
• Advanced troubleshooting of releasing panels, fire alarm control panels, and circuits.
• Program and configure control equipment per drawings and codes.
• Functional testing of system interfaces and releases.
• Support testing, commissioning, and customer demonstrations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs; document results.
