Job summary

The Senior Research Assistant at UT MD Anderson will test new commercial technologies for single-cell and spatial genomics assays, and help roll out core services. You will train staff, create SOPs, and define QC benchmarks while supporting customer workflows.

Primary duties include performing spatial genomics experiments, tissue processing, and data management, with emphasis on assay development and benchmarking across sample types; strong emphasis on wet-lab execution and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or related field required.
• Experience in molecular biology lab with tissue processing and NGS preferred.
• Experience in histopathology, genomics or imaging is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform spatial genomics experiments including Visium HD/Xenium and related assays.
• Provide core laboratory services and train personnel.
• Prepare libraries for sequencing and conduct QC procedures.
• Develop SOPs and benchmarks; manage data and sample records.
