Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Business Management Senior Manager to oversee the SIMO contract operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. You will lead a diverse team, ensure contract compliance, optimize resource use, and drive performance improvements while coordinating with government representatives.

The role requires deep experience in operations, personnel management, and safety compliance, with a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 15+ years of progressively challenging experience in technical, supervisory, or management roles with at least 6 years in lead capacity.
• Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations of SIMO across contract requirements, budget, policies, and work standards.
• Formulate and enforce operational policies, work rules, and performance standards to meet mission objectives.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to maintain supplies and resources.
• Design and implement procedures to improve contract performance and delivery.
• Manage work schedules and organize employee training.
• Plan and manage the efficient use of materials, resources, and personnel.
• Monitor and evaluate activities, address challenges, and implement improvements.
• Lead and mentor supervisors and staff to foster high performance and collaboration.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and safety protocols enforced.
• Collaborate with program management to align with contract goals and deliverables.
• Prepare reports on performance, utilization, and productivity for senior leadership and government reps.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance service delivery.
