Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5–10 years of related experience.
• Experience providing mechanical design support in the NASA JSC Flight Hardware process.
• Experience with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication across multiple disciplines.
• Familiarity with NASA, DoD, or Aerospace systems engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements planning, development, and verification within NASA JSC Flight Hardware processes.
• Prepare and present materials for SRR, PDR, and CDR.
• Identify risks and develop risk statements with mitigation plans.
• Perform architecture trade studies and system analyses affecting design and performance.
• Use and manage requirements with tools such as DOORS, Cradle, or Jama.
• Create and manage project interfaces and flow-down from NASA programs to contractors.
• Collaborate in a team environment and report progress to the team lead.
• Maintain professional relationships with NASA customers and contractors.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
