Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a Senior Materials & Processes Engineer to guide M&P requirements for IVA and EVA environments, selecting and certifying spaceflight hardware for flammability, toxicity, vacuum outgassing, corrosion, and related properties. You will ensure compliance via testing and documentation reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a materials-related field with progressive experience in materials & processes engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports and M&P documentation (certifications, test plans, procedures).
• Experience advising on IVA/EVA environments and spaceflight hardware qualification.

Responsibilities

• Advise on Materials & Processes program requirements for intravehicular and extravehicular environments.
• Perform materials selection, assessment, and certification of hardware for flammability, toxicity, outgassing, corrosion, and cracking.
