Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a Senior Materials & Processes Engineer to advise on M&P requirements for spacecraft environments and certify hardware for flammability, outgassing, corrosion, and related properties. You will prepare technical reports, write certifications and test plans, and participate in project milestone reviews.

Daily work involves collaboration with internal and external customers in a team-oriented environment, ensuring compliance through testing and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in materials field with related experience, ranges vary by degree.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Advise on M&P program requirements for IVA and EVA environments.
• Perform materials selection, assessment, and certification of spaceflight hardware (flammability, corrosion, etc.).
• Define testing and certification requirements and evaluate results for project compliance.
• Review vendor documentation to ensure M&P processes meet requirements.
• Write M&P documentation including certifications and test plans.
• Interface with internal/external customers and work in a team.
