Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop flight software and tools for New Glenn avionics and ground systems. You will contribute to safety-critical real-time embedded software and work across requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing to enable reliable spaceflight.

The role requires a strong background in C/C++ and Python, with embedded software and kernel development expertise, plus familiarity with RTOS and hardware interfaces.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python.
• Solid understanding of embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components.
• Good understanding of operating systems and network protocols fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems.
• Contribute to safety-critical real-time embedded software development.
• Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems, covering requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing.
• Collaborate with a high-performance team to ensure mission success for New Glenn.
