Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or materials engineering.
• 10–15+ years in composite materials and aerospace structures.
• Experience with laminate design, FEA, and load assessment.
• Hands-on with autoclave layup, AFP/ATL, RTM/VARTM.
• Proficient in CAD/FEA tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Abaqus, ANSYS, Nastran).
• Ability to follow structured engineering processes and produce documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze composite components for aerospace structures.
• Develop laminate schedules and evaluate material behavior.
• Support FEA modeling including buckling and failure assessments.
• Participate in design reviews (PDR, CDR) with documentation.
• Assist with manufacturing processes and tooling reviews.
• Coordinate with NASA MSFC teams and suppliers.
