Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer for NASA MSFC projects in Huntsville. You will design civil-structural hardware, support large assemblies, and collaborate with a broad team to ensure mission success across programs.

Ideal candidates have FE exposure, strong knowledge of IBC and structural standards, and experience with CAD/analysis tools. This role emphasizes joint coordination, documentation, and delivery of compliant design packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; 5 years civil-structural design/analysis.
• FE exam desired; US Citizenship and STAR ID.
• Experience with IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil-structural designs for non-flight hardware and large assemblies.
• Coordinate with NASA customers to ensure mission success.
• Prepare structural calculation and drawing packages for AHJ per IBC/ASCE 7/AISC/ACI.
• Perform FEM analysis to validate designs under varying loads.
