Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Thermodynamics/Fluids Engineer to support satellite systems in Englewood, CO. You will lead analyses, modeling, and testing of propulsion-related fluid systems, while mentoring engineers and delivering technical reports for stakeholders.

Candidates should have advanced degrees in engineering and strong expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and propulsion components, with readiness to travel as needed and hold

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, master, or PhD in engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • 6+ years with a bachelor, 4+ years with a master, or 2+ years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis and optimization of spacecraft fluid systems for propulsion, slosh dynamics, plume impingement.
  • Perform advanced simulations and modeling of fluid behavior in zero-G and vacuum.
  • Develop and validate fluid system designs for current and future spacecraft.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
