Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing subsidiary, seeks a Spacecraft Thermal Engineer to develop thermal system configurations, analyses, testing and flight operations for the Spacecraft Development Program.

You will build thermal models, support MLI work, and collaborate with program managers. Requires BS in Engineering, 2+ years in spacecraft thermal, and proficiency with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, Thermica; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials)
• 2+ years experience in spacecraft thermal design/analysis
• Proficiency with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, Thermica
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft thermal design and analyses at board, component, subsystem, and system levels
• Develop thermal models to predict loads, temperatures, margins for design decisions
• Brief designs and analyses to program managers, customers or sponsors
• Identify materials, processes, and facilities to meet qualified thermal design
• Assist in proposals and new business development efforts
• Support thermal verification testing, design tests, data reduction, and reporting
• Develop tools for conceptual design and post-processing analyses
