Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States seeks a Senior Thermal Analyst to lead thermal design and analysis for the MK1 Lunar Lander, from launch to lunar surface, using Thermal Desktop and related tools.

You will collect inputs, build models, run worst-case cases, mentor junior analysts, and publish reports to support engineering decisions; a BS in mechanical or aerospace and 8+ years in thermal engineering are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience.
• Experience designing and analyzing thermal control systems in space/aerospace.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermodynamics for spacecraft.
• Proficiency with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS Workbench.

Responsibilities

• Collect analysis inputs from stakeholders and responsible engineers.
• Develop thermal analysis models for vehicle configuration and behavior.
• Create analysis cases for worst-case thermal performance.
• Analyze component and system thermal performance across methods.
• Post-process results and draw engineering conclusions.
• Publish analysis reports to support decisions.
• Generate and present design review content to partners and customers.
• Mentor junior thermal analysts.
