Job summary

Virgin Galactic in Mesa seeks a Senior Structures Technician to join the Manufacturing team. You will set up fixtures, drill, seal, and install fasteners on airframe components, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with composite and metal structures and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Expect 4/10 onsite schedules with potential for night shifts and weekend coverage as projects demand.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of aircraft fabrication and assembly experience.
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and/or models.
Experience using shop tools and precision hand tools.
Familiarity with multiple fasteners and hole tolerances.
Commitment to safety and FOD awareness.

Responsibilities

Assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.
Operate drills, die grinders, and calipers safely and correctly.
Drill holes in composite and metal structures, including stack-ups of dissimilar materials.
Work with various fasteners including Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok.
Collaborate with teams to complete projects and follow team leader directions.
Provide input on maintenance and repair recommendations for the program.
