Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Sr Structural Dynamics Engineer to support test and analysis of spacecraft hardware in dynamic environments. You will conduct ground vibration and modal testing, build FE models, and work with test teams to achieve targets.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in structural dynamics, proficiency in Nastran, MATLAB/Python, and knowledge of NASA/SMC standards. Travel to test facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in structural dynamics analysis and test.
• Experience with vibration, shock, and modal testing from planning to results.
• Proficient in analytical simulations and finite element modeling (Nastran).
• Experience in time and frequency domain signal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, and perform ground vibration testing and modal testing of spacecraft hardware.
• Construct finite element models and test displays for dynamic analyses.
• Collaborate to define test plans with instrumentation and limits.
• Provide on-site support for modal, vibration, and vibro-acoustic testing.
• Prepare technical reports communicating results and recommendations.
