Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Spacecraft Structural Analysis Engineer I with TS/SCI clearance to contribute to analysis, design validation, and future improvements of our Space Systems and Space Components.

You’ll define loads, run simulations (static, modal, random vibration, buckling, thermoelastic), and collaborate with design and test teams to ensure margins meet mission requirements. Base salary and equity provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
• 5+ years aerospace engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Define loads and environments for tests and flight data.
• Perform structural analyses of primary/secondary vehicle structures.
• Run static, modal, random vibration, buckling, thermoelastic simulations.
• Collaborate with design and test teams to iterate concepts and tests.
• Lead technical projects and implement new tools.
• Support testing of vehicle subsystems and components.
