Job summary

SES is seeking a Spacecraft Engineer to manage payload subsystems across GEO and MEO satellites. You will join the Payload Engineering team and work on end-to-end satellite operations, performance monitoring, and design solutions.

You will contribute to missions, contingency planning, and new spacecraft procurements, expanding your expertise across a broad technical scope in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Telecommunications engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; specialization in telecommunications.
• Experience with digital payload technology and phased arrays is a plus.
• Experience in satellite operations or constellation operations is a plus.
• 8–10 years in RF payload engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand end-to-end payload RF subsystems and link budgets.
• Monitor health and support satellites in operation on-call.
• Ensure SLA performance and satellite availability.
• Develop payload applications and monitoring tools.
• Lead readiness for new satellite operations and In Orbit Test.
• Support design and procurement of new satellites and testing.
• Integrate payload data models with ground software systems.
• Act as payload SME for DSP, phased arrays, RF analysis and simulations.
• Lead operational solutions for productization and contingency ops.
