Job summary

SES is seeking a Senior Satellite Systems Engineer to provide resident systems engineering support across satellite procurement programs. You will participate in design reviews, test reviews, and failure reviews, overseeing spacecraft bus platforms from design through launch, with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in space systems engineering or spacecraft bus engineering.
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft bus systems.
• Experience with spacecraft bus suppliers and AIT environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Review and trend test data for platform equipment at unit, subsystem and system levels.
• Provide resident systems engineering support throughout spacecraft procurement programs.
• Participate in design reviews, test reviews and failure reviews.
• Review platform unit, subsystem and system test procedures for contractual compliance.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support during spacecraft testing and launch campaigns.
• Support launch site activities and LEOP critical operations.
