Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Software Test Engineer located in Redondo Beach, California. In this role, you will design, write, and debug tests to ensure that flight software operates correctly. Your responsibilities will include developing test plans, implementing tests in Python and C++, and integrating with hardware emulators.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science. Additional benefits include stock options, medical coverage, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years developing test plans and test scripts for embedded applications.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and C++.
• Experience with spacecraft command and data handling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans for the flight and ground software.
• Implement flight software integration/regression tests in Python.
• Support debug of flight software testing in C/C++.
• Integrate tests with hardware emulators for sensors and actuators.
