Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is looking for a Lead Flight Software Engineer for Special Programs. You will lead software design and development for advanced spacecraft, working closely with various teams to deliver high-reliability software for space missions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in C/C++ embedded systems, at least 5 years of related experience and must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

Impulse Space offers a compensation range of $150,000 to $200,000 annually, along with benefits including stock options and healthcare coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing C/C++ code for embedded systems in aerospace.
• Technical leadership experience for at least 1 year.
• Familiarity with computer architecture and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of flight software for space vehicles.
• Develop software for command and telemetry systems.
• Mentor junior flight software engineers.

Skills

C/C++ coding for embedded systems

Leadership in technical roles
