Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is hiring an experienced electrical power subsystem engineer in Huntsville. You will design and validate spacecraft EPS architectures, work on PMAD, batteries, solar arrays, and harnessing, and support mission-critical testing and production activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical or aerospace engineering and 10+ years of EPS experience, plus Python scripting and strong collaboration skills. Relocation assistance and travel up to 25% are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of spacecraft EPS design experience.
• Experience with Python scripts and test automation.
• Ability to work non-standard shifts for integration & test campaigns.
• Experience with non-conformances and failure review boards.
• Experience with spacecraft EPS architecture in Earth-centered orbits and deep space.
• Experience with EPS components: PMAD, batteries, solar arrays, wire harnessing, and SADAs.
• Experience performing EPS analyses and maintaining power budgets.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of spacecraft electrical power subsystem.
• Onsite production and test support at the Blue Ring factory.
• Support hardware testing activities in the development lab.
• Perform EPS analyses: energy balance, power budgeting, voltage drop, bus stability.
• Perform software updates to installed flight hardware.
• Support component level requirements including verification methods.
• Develop and validate power budgets optimized for mission requirements.
• Partner with engineering leadership to achieve program goals with acceptable risk.
• Design for manufacturability to support production rates and cost efficiency.
