Job summary

CesiumAstro in Colorado is seeking a Staff Spacecraft Systems Engineer – Electronics to provide technical leadership across the lifecycle of aerospace systems, translating customer requirements into architectures and engineering solutions for satellites.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage requirements, interfaces, verification plans, and risk mitigation, while collaborating with software, hardware, and manufacturing groups to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles.
• Experience developing, allocating, managing, and verifying complex system and subsystem requirements.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, interface management, integration, configuration management, and technical risk management.
• Ability to translate customer requirements, mission objectives, and CONOPS into technical solutions.
• Experience with MBSE and model-based design tools.
• Proficiency with requirement management tools (Jama, DOORS).

Responsibilities

• Lead system requirements development across the product lifecycle.
• Lead system architecture development, trade studies, and analyses to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete, feasible requirements.
• Define and manage interfaces and verification strategies across system elements.
• Mentor engineers on requirements development, traceability, and verification planning.
