Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Spacecraft Concept & Mission Engineer to support Advanced Technology’s mission areas, focusing on satellite technology, mission CONOPs, and new program captures for national security space customers. This onsite role requires collaboration across disciplines and the ability to develop inventions and IP.

You will work with AT leadership to pursue IRAD opportunities, contribute to mission planning software, and help shape novel space concepts for potential government

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and ≥5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in at least one system-level or subsystem-level technical domain.
• Programming experience with Python, MATLAB and/or C++ to model physical systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze notional missions and hardware for feasibility.
• Coordinate with product line management and customers.
• Develop concepts and mature technologies for new business development and capture.
• Engage directly in mission planning application software development and testing.
