Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Spacecraft Concept & Mission Engineer for the Advanced Technology group. You will support Alternate Missions & Space product lines, develop satellite concepts, assess CONOPs, and help capture new programs.

The role is on-site in Tucson and requires a Top Secret clearance. You will collaborate across disciplines, develop mission planning tools, and contribute to intellectual property efforts while advancing novel space technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with modeling physical systems using Python/MATLAB/C++.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance or eligibility required on start.

Responsibilities

• Tasking includes vehicle design and system sizing and trajectory analysis.
• Analyze missions and hardware for feasibility; collaborate across disciplines.
• Develop mission analysis toolsets and use grid computing for large data sets.
• Produce visualizations of CONOPs in STK or similar tools.
• Coordinate with product line management and customers; support program captures.
• Advance concepts and technologies for new business; contribute to IP disclosures.
• Engage in mission planning application software development and testing.
