Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join our defense team in Tysons Corner, VA. You will integrate software components, manage the integration environment, and automate builds and tests for space-based platforms.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in software integration, experience with embedded systems or RTOS, and be capable of collaborating across software and systems teams to define APIs and resolve dependencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software integration, DevOps, or software engineering (aerospace/defense/telecom preferred).
• Experience with embedded systems or RTOS; active U.S. security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on integration of various software components onto target hardware.
• Develop and maintain software integration plans, procedures, and automated scripts.
• Collaborate with software development and systems engineering teams to define APIs.
• Configure, manage, and maintain the software integration environment including CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues during software integration across teams.
• Document integration processes, builds, and release configurations.
• Support system-level testing by providing stable software builds and integration verification.
