Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer for the Neutron program in Virginia. You will lead integration, testing, and launch activities, developing ground support tooling and procedures for Neutron stages and flight hardware.

This role requires a BS in aerospace/mechanical/manufacturing engineering and 5+ years building and testing hardware for launch vehicles. The job offers competitive pay, stock options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • BS in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 5+ years building and testing hardware for launch vehicles.
  • Proven ability to author work instructions and procedures for assembly, test, and launch.
  • Experience interfacing with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop con-ops and build ground support tooling for Neutron vehicle components and stages.
  • Develop and execute procedures for integrating Neutron flight hardware and ground support equipment.
  • Support day-to-day execution of 1st and 2nd stage integration, propellant system, avionics, and AFTS.
  • Create and refine inspection, repair, retrofit, assembly and system test procedures.
  • Maintain vehicle configurations and work scope documentation.
  • Design tools and hardware to enable vehicle processing and testing.
