Job summary

Redwire’s Goleta, CA facility leads mission-focused space hardware development from concept to delivery. You’ll drive system-level design and verification, serving as a senior technical resource across programs and supporting business development as needed.

The role requires 15+ years in hardware development, aerospace CAD proficiency, and leadership of engineering teams. Travel up to 15% and a commitment to engineering excellence are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 15+ years in designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing production hardware.
• Proven systems-level engineering experience and prior leadership of technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for programs, ensuring scope, schedule, resources, and budget alignment.
• Mentor junior engineers and support customer engagements and design reviews.
• Translate product strategies into system-level requirements and coordinate with disciplines.
• Lead design reviews and develop verification plans and customer acceptance tests.
• Develop and review system-level requirements, verification procedures and compliance docs.
• Ensure requirements traceability and successful test execution.
• Coordinate with program management to align with customer expectations.
