Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in analog and digital circuit design for telemetry data collection and subsystem integration. You will collaborate across teams to define requirements and verify designs, ensuring proper integration at various program levels.

The role involves traveling for production and mission support, working with encryption devices, IRIG106 standards, and harness schematics, while supporting data reviews and mission

Qualifications

  • Mid career experience in the design and troubleshoot of analog electronics.
  • Experience in a technical role on government development programs, or equivalent.
  • Experience in system level integration of Telemetry products.
  • Familiarity with harness design and installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation (ICDs, electrical schematics, CAD models, and drawings).
  • Broad systems engineering experience (architecture, requirements, CONOPs, systems verification).
  • Development of test procedures, test reports, or acceptance testing execution.
  • Willingness to travel for production and mission support.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with missile architecture design and development.
  • Design reviews experience (TIMs, SRR, PDR, CDR, QTRR) and closure of complex issues.
  • Product development support from inception to fielding.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and supporting test equipment issues.
  • MATLAB scripting for data processing and review.
  • Driving design changes through Engineering Review and Change Control Boards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and consensus building.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment with critical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Understand vehicle configurations, system architecture, and drive meaningful requirements and verification efforts
  • Coordinate and communicate across multiorganizational teams, supporting RSE and CPEs for proper integration
  • Collaborate with industry partners for development, procurement, and troubleshoot of data collection devices
  • Prior experience with encryption devices, NSA controls, and key handling protocols
  • Experience with Telemetry Transmitters, IRIG106 standards, modulation methods and mission planning support
  • Development of harnessing schematics to collect critical subsystem and sensor data using various instrumentation
  • Familiarity with Telemetry Format definitions and RS422/PCM Ch4 standards and data dictionary maintenance
  • Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support onsite integration, test and failure investigation at Deer Creek test line, Alabama facility, and Flight Test locations
  • Perform data reviews for performance verification and post mission objective reporting
