Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support U.S. Space Force missions and Space Systems Command portfolios. This is a full-time, onsite role based in El Segundo, CA.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in systems engineering, a technical Bachelor's degree, and active SCI/SAP eligibility with polygraph willingness. You will drive hardware/software and space/ground integration and MBSE activities across programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
9+ years in systems engineering or related roles.
Experience leading hardware/software integration.
Active SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain SCI/SAP access.
Willingness to consent to a polygraph examination.
Experience with Agile and DevOps processes.

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering across full lifecycle for space-based and ground-based systems.
Oversee design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, and sustainment.
Lead hardware/software and space/ground integration efforts with government and subcontractor teams.
Develop concepts, requirements, architectures, and verification strategies.
Perform MBSE modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Maintain program baseline configuration management and risk reduction strategies.
Collaborate with Government weapon system program offices to ensure mission success.
